Everything about what Sheetz costs, what it keeps, and how to stop. Written to be read rather than to be survived.
Prices include VAT where applicable. Billed by Paddle.
Sheetz is free to use. Transcription, playback, engraving and downloads all work without paying, and nothing is stored unless you ask for it. Your first three sheets need no account; after that we ask you to make a free one. Paying gets you a library that keeps more, and the immersive render.

Sheetz is operated by People Harmonics, a sole trader registered in the Netherlands. Using the site means these terms apply. If you do not agree with them, the honest answer is not to use it.
You give it a solo piano recording, or play a connected MIDI keyboard, and it produces grand-staff notation you can read, hear and download. It is an AI-assisted transcription: it is often very good and it is never guaranteed to be correct. Check anything you intend to perform or publish.
To see which parts of Sheetz are used and where to improve it, we count anonymous page visits. This uses no cookies and nothing that can be traced back to you; see Privacy.
An account is optional. Everything except saving works without one. When you do create one, you agree to the storage terms shown at sign-up, which say the same thing as this:
Accounts that do these things can be suspended. Where copyright is involved, material is removed on a substantiated request from the rights holder.
Sheetz is provided as it is. We do not promise it is available without interruption, that a transcription is accurate, or that it fits any particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, liability is limited to what you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for intent, gross negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited under Dutch law.
These terms can change. If a change materially affects you, the new version is shown when you next sign in and carries a new version date. Continuing to use Sheetz after that means the new version applies. Dutch law applies, and the courts of the Netherlands have jurisdiction.

The short version: Sheetz keeps your email address, your recordings and the notation made from them, and nothing else about you. It does not track you around the web, does not sell anything to anybody, and does not use your recordings to train models.
| What | Why | Kept |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | To sign you in and to reach you about your account | Until you delete your account |
| Your audio | So your library holds the recording it came from | Until you delete it |
| Your notation | So you do not have to transcribe twice | Until you delete it |
| Artist and title you enter | To label the piece and to answer rights-holder requests | Until you delete it |
| Plan and usage counts | To apply the limits of your plan | While the account exists |
We count anonymous page visits with Vercel Web Analytics: no cookies, no personal data, and no way to follow you across sites. There is no advertising pixel and no third-party tracker. If you never create an account, nothing about you is stored at all — the transcription happens in your own browser.
In the European Union. The database and file storage run on Supabase in Frankfurt, Germany (eu-central-1), and the site is served from European edge locations. Your recordings do not leave the EU.
Nobody else. Your recordings are not shared, sold, or used as training data.
Under the GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Most of it you can do yourself: anything in your library can be deleted from your library, immediately and permanently. For the rest, write to the address below and you will get an answer within thirty days. You can also complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Sheetz sets no tracking cookies. Signing in stores a session token in your browser so you stay signed in; that is functional and cannot be switched off without also switching off signing in. Paddle's checkout sets its own cookies when you open it.

Cancel whenever you like. There is no notice period, no minimum term and no cancellation fee. Your subscription runs to the end of the period you have already paid for, and then stops.
Open your account menu in Sheetz and choose Manage billing. That opens Paddle's billing portal, where you can cancel in one step. You can also reply to any Paddle receipt, or write to us at the address below and we will do it for you.
Pro begins with seven days free. Cancel within those seven days and you are never charged — there is nothing to refund because nothing was taken.
If you are charged and you did not mean to be — you forgot to cancel the trial, you were billed twice, the service did not work for you — write to us within 14 days of the charge and we will refund it in full. No explanation required, no argument.
After 14 days a payment for a month already used is not normally refunded, because you had the service that month. Cancelling stops the next payment. If something went wrong on our side, tell us anyway; we would rather fix it than keep eight euros.
As a consumer in the EU you have fourteen days to withdraw from a distance contract. For digital services that right ends once the service has been fully performed with your consent, but our own 14-day policy above is at least as generous, so in practice you can simply ask.
Payments are handled by Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as the merchant of record. Paddle appears on your bank statement, issues your invoice, and handles the VAT. Refunds are issued through Paddle to the payment method you used, and normally reach you within five to ten working days.
Questions about your account, your data, a refund, or a copyright concern all go to the same place, and a person reads them.
